Why tourist should choose Malaysia???

I was thinking today about how many great events “Visit Malaysia 2007” are coming up this year: shopping sale carnival, Asia cup, Formula 1 and etc. Thats actually a good way of attracting tourist to Malaysia, but what Malaysia itself famous for? I mean if we look for world famous countries which tourist would choose for vacation, it would be because all they have something unique which attracts everyone, not only small group of tourists (Like shopaholics and Formula 1 fans!) Example of those countries would be
France: Famous for their history, wine and Disney Land for kids!!
Arab Emirates : Safari adventures, Burj Al Arab hotel
Egypt: deserts, Pyramids, Arabic Nights and Belly dance
Italy: Ancient architectures in Rome and of course Venice
And so on…..But what Malaysia famous for except their Twin towers?? The question is Would Malaysia be the interesting place to visit if no such think as Visit Malaysia 2007 program? What do you think?

What is your perfect vacation?

Vacation is a time that you spend to rest from your work, school routine and everyday problems. The definition for the term vacation differs for any given individual. Some find a vacation as a form of relaxation, in the cuddle of the sand, sun and the sea. Others on the other hand, explore new boundaries and cultures in search of the one great adventure.

In summary, vacation seekers fall into two primary categories; Adventure seekers and those seeking RNR. Vacations though not work intensive, holiday makers will have specific objectives they want to achieve. In understanding the perfect vacation, we need to firstly identify the various forms of existing vacations.

Firstly we start with most common type of vacation, RNR (rest and relax). People usually plan this vacation trip during their leave from work, school breaks and honeymoons. In my opinion the best example of this kind of vacation would be in the comfort of a luxurious 5 star spa hotel at a beach resort, where there is loads of activities that are not gender or age specific. A trip the whole family and friends can enjoy in a hassle free environment.

Secondly, are the Adventure seekers, who more than often lug huge bags and maps. It is not hard to miss these tourists walking down the streets of KL. Some are called backpackers. The main vacation objective of these people is to travel, explore new places and of course adventures! Usually their vacation is based on a budget so as to push the length of their trips to their limits. Living in cheaper motels and hostels their finances are stretched to give them the highest return from the holidays. Their mode of transport usually is on foot or subsidized public transport. Hence, the advantages of being able to understand the country of visit a lot better and the potential of meeting various people on the journey. The one main disadvantage would that be the lack of comfort and security. This may at times proof to costly and destroy the designated effect from the trip.

null

But in the end, whether a vacation was in the arms of luxury or in the sounds and sights of the street, it is the experience that matters. The experience of discovery; an objective shared by the mind, body and soul.
